Ravenwood Holiday Home Tour to build spirit for Class of 2019

‘Tis the Season to decorate homes in the holiday finest. While many families have their own traditions, it’s fun to see how others decorate their homes.

On Sunday, Dec. 6 from 2 to 5 p.m. the community is invited to the annual Ravenwood Holiday Home Tour that will showcase three different homes in Brentwood. Home tour tickets are $15, supporting the Class of 2019.

Each year, Ravenwood High School families open up their homes to the community and share their holiday spirit through creative holiday decor. Participants can take this opportunity to see the traditions of other families, and possibly gain ideas for their own holiday decorating.

The ticket will allow visitors to view all homes, in any order. Attendees may check in at any home on the tour.  No tickets will be distributed, though attendees will receive a wristband at the first home visited.

The first home featured on the tour is a historic home built in the 1800’s located at 8220 Moore’s Lane known as “Maple Lawn.” Sitting on 5 acres across from Nashville Golf Club, the interior decor depicts Italianate and Neo Classical features, has eight fireplaces, imported chandeliers, and other interesting historical features.

Kylan Bodin who owns Maple Lawn stayed period-centered in her holiday decorating. Although areas of the home have been modernized, many original aspects of the home’s features from architecture to style have been left in tact. Visitors will be in for a breathtaking tour as each room delights.

A Cross Pointe French country home, 1588 Cross Pointe Drive, is the second featured. Nestled in the woods, the Kerr home offers a peaceful retreat for the owners. Built in 2009, the home rests on 1.5 acres, encompasses approximately 6,700 square feet and includes an outdoor oasis. Guests may even find some elves and snowmen while touring the home.

Nestled in the hills of Brentwood in Hampton Reserve, the third home on the tour is a decorator’s dream. The interior decorator has incorporated a contemporary mix of sleek and sophisticated and is a must see for creative decorating ideas. While touring don’t miss seeing the outdoor living space with a waterfall pool. The Styles home is located at 9575 Hampton Reserve Drive.

Tickets can be purchased by emailing RavenwoodTeam2019@gmail.com, or on Sunday come to the “Maple Lawn” home to begin the tour.
