OPEN AUDITIONS FOR THE LION KING JR.

Scheduled for June 3

The Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department’s award-winning children’s theatre group, the Star Bright Players Jr., presents open auditions for The Lion King Jr. on Sunday, June 3 at the Williamson County Enrichment Center at Academy Park, 110 Everbright Ave.  Auditions will begin with a workshop from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., followed by auditions from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. During the workshop, participants will be taught choreography from the show. Please prepare 30 seconds of either I Just Can’t Wait to be King or Circle of Life.

For this musical production, all children must be age 5 through 14 at the time of the audition. Please visit www.wcparksandrec.com to register for the audition (activity #12168) and to view more information on the requirements of this three-week production. 

A cast list will be posted on Tuesday, June 5 and roles must be accepted by Wednesday, June 6 at 4:00 p.m. If cast, there is a $75 activity fee.  Rehearsals will run June 7-28 with shows planned for June 29, 30 and July 1 in the Performing Arts Center at Academy Park.

Disney’s The Lion King Jr is presented through special arrangement with Music Theater International (MTI). All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI. www.mtishows.com.
