Nissan North America

For the third-consecutive year Nissan North America has signed on as a sponsor of the Franklin Wine Festival, benefiting Big Brothers Big Sisters.  Nissan’s support will provide mentoring for 25 Middle Tennessee youth.

The event, presented by Cool Springs Wines & Spirits, will be held Oct. 24, 2008, beginning at 7:00 pm, at The Factory in Franklin.  Proceeds from this event will allow Big Brothers Big Sisters to reach more than 1,800 children in Middle Tennessee.  Supporting this organization benefits America’s most important asset – our children.

“Nissan partners with Big Brothers Big Sisters because it provides children with an amazing mentoring experience, “said Stephanie Valdez Streaty, senior manager of Philanthropy and Diversity Communications for Nissan North America, Inc.  “Children who participate in programs provided through Big Brothers Big Sisters learn life skills, build self-confidence and develop a long-term relationship with a positive role model.”

The Franklin Wine Festival is an impressive experience for both gourmets and wine connoisseurs, pairing extensive offerings by Middle Tennessee’s finest chefs with more than 300 superior wines from around the world.  Attendees will enjoy live music and the beautiful atmosphere provided at The Factory.

With the support of Nissan North America and many other community-minded companies backing a cause in which they believe, the 2008 Franklin Wine Festival promises to be the most successful event ever.
