Music to fill the street…

The 11th Annual Wine Down Main Street, set for Friday, November 4th, will bring back many familiar musical faces including Franklin’s Joe Carpenter and Chattanooga’s Dana Rogers.  Also returning is Trio San Rafael, and rounding out the Best Night Out All Year is one of Franklin’s favorite party bands, the Chill Band.

Dana Rogers will perform her acoustic finger-style songs near the Franklin Theatre at Fifth and Main Streets.  Joe Carpenter performs his Leo Kotke/Duane Allman-influenced slide guitar stylings at Fourth and Main Streets.  Trio San Rafael will set up shop on the Public Square with their blend of Latin, jazz and rock, while the Chill Band will perform in the Red House on Third Avenue North.

Specially priced e-tickets are $75 per person until October 22 and $85 per person after that.  Advance tickets may be purchased at either www.winedownmainstreet.com or www.localwineevents.com.    Tickets sold in the shops alongMain Street will be available for purchase in September.

Downtown Franklin comes alive on the first Friday of every November when Wine Down Main Street comes around.  The most unique wine tasting event in Middle Tennessee, Wine Down Main Street takes place along Historic Main Street in Franklin, Tennessee.  The streets are closed to traffic, wines are poured in the shops, food samplings are provided by area restaurants and local musicians entertain you along the way.  It’s truly the best night out all year!

Since 2001, Wine Down Main Street has grossed more than $1,000,000 for the Franklin and Fairview Boys & Girls Clubs and has sold out every year.  At last year’s 10th anniversary event, people came from 22 states and three foreign countries.

Wine Down Main Street is sponsored by Lipman Brothers, Zycron, Inc., Reliant Bank, Buerger, Mosley & Carson, Boyle, Inc., Carpet Den Interiors, JLB and FranklinIs.
