As part of Morning Pointe of Franklin’s August “Dog Days of Summer” theme, adoptable dogs from a local animal shelter will visit the community for an afternoon of connection, family fun and giving back. Residents and their families will have the opportunity to spend time with the dogs, while community members can meet potential pets and learn more about adoption.
The event will take place Thursday, August 13, from 3–5 p.m. at Morning Pointe of Franklin, 1005 Generations Way.
“Animals have a wonderful way of bringing people together, and we are excited to open our doors to families and neighbors for an afternoon centered around connection and giving back,” said Bradley Hamilton, Executive Director of Morning Pointe of Franklin. “Our residents truly enjoy the companionship that animals provide, and we hope this event can bring a little joy to our residents while also helping local dogs find loving homes. We encourage the community to come out, meet the dogs and support the shelter in any way they can.”
Residents, loved ones and neighbors are invited to come together to support the local animal shelter by meeting adoptable dogs, donating much-needed pet supplies and enjoying an afternoon of fellowship. The event is designed to strengthen community connections while helping homeless animals find loving homes and providing residents with the joy that comes from interacting with animals. Guests can also cool off with treats from a local snow cone truck while spending time together and supporting the shelter’s mission.
