Legal Aid Society Now Airing Facebook Live Q&A Sessions

The Legal Aid Society of Middle Tennessee and the Cumberlands – Middle Tennessee’s largest nonprofit law firm – is now airing weekly Facebook Live episodes. Each Wednesday, attorneys from the firm will discuss and answer frequently asked legal questions relating to the coronavirus pandemic.

This week’s episode will feature William Bush and Deven Wilson, who will talk about unemployment eligibility and appeals during COVID-19. Here are the other dates and topics going forward:

  • Wednesday, May 6 at 12 p.m.: William Bush and Deven Wilson – Unemployment

  • Wednesday, May 13 at 12 p.m.: Mary Gillum – Tax issues and IRS stimulus payments

  • Wednesday, May 20 at 12 p.m.: Russ Overby – TennCare, SNAP (food stamps) and other assistance

  • Wednesday, May 27 at 12 p.m.: Patricia Jones – Mortgage Payments

  • Wednesday, June 3 at 12 p.m.: Rachel Moses and Aimee Luna – Domestic violence resources
