Snowbird came to visit!
As part of Smith Preschool’s work-play approach to academically structured learning, speakers and guests visit the school through the year. This past week, Snowbird visited with the 3-5 year olds at Smith Preschool. He spent nearly an hour talking with the children about penguins, discussing what types of animal they are, their habitats, which parent takes care of the eggs (it’s the dad!).
This month’s learning unit is baby animals, and Snowbirds “penguin talk” was the perfect match for a memorable in-classroom experience.
