Insight Counseling Centers partners with Metro Services to light up the Korean War Veterans Memorial Bridge for Mental Health Awareness Month
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (May 18, 2022) — To observe Mental Health Awareness Month, Insight Counseling Centers has partnered with Metro Services to light the Korean War Veterans Memorial Bridge green and purple. Green symbolizes the continual awareness of mental health and purple represents Insight’s brand colors.
This year marks the 73rd Mental Health Awareness Month. Whether or not someone personally suffers from a mental health issue, this awareness month helps people recognize the ways illness impacts their lives, educates people about available services and highlights ways to advocate.
“Mental Health Awareness Month gives us a valuable opportunity to increase the public’s knowledge that effective services and support are available,” said Insight’s Executive Director Pam Brown. “Lighting the bridge symbolizes the importance of encouraging conversation about mental health and how this can affect our community’s physical, emotional and mental well-being.”
Insight Counseling Center recognizes the need for mental health counseling services and offers quality services in person and via telehealth. Mental Health Awareness Month is a time to normalize mental health into the conversation and prioritize mental well-being. Learn more at www.insightcounselingcenters.org.
