Leiper’s Fork, Tenn. (Oct. 9, 2023) Hippies & Cowboys, one of the hottest American rock ‘n’ roll bands to come out of Music City in recent memory, launched their debut live recording to a sold-out audience at Fox & Locke in Leiper’s Fork. The project was recorded during a recent performance at the venue.
Hippies & Cowboys are making headway in Music City and beyond, including a performance at Franklin’s Pilgrimage Festival. That event led to national media coverage in People Magazine and measurable increase in the band’s fanbase.
The band was first discovered at Fox & Locke in Leiper’s Fork during Open Mic Night. The performance hit the bullseye – intense rock vocals, thanks to lead vocalist Aaron Sparling, an original song that connected with the audience, and young, new, rock blood that emanated energy from the stage like a modernized version of the best of 70’s rock.
Hippies & Cowboys played Open Mic Night a few times, then rose-up to play regular shows at Fox & Locke, multiple times. They began to sell out. People started to notice. On Oct. 7, Hippies & Cowboys celebrated the launch of their live album, recorded at Fox & Locke, and launched at the popular venue before a sold-out audience. The unknown band that played Open Mic Night just a couple of years ago, has now launched their live record, and are fast-tracking their career from the same stage.
You can catch Hippies & Cowboys at Fox & Locke in the future, and at Kid Rock’s bar in Nashville, a popular honky tonk on Music City’s Broadway strip. They became regulars there, stirring up the crowd with energy to burn. This, friends, is a meteoric rise.
