Map My Run is a neat website to search for runs, connect with other runners and track your own progress in exercise logs. With this handy site, you can find runs when you are out of town, training for a particular race or just want a new route around your neighborhood. Click here to see the 200+ mapped runs in “Franklin, TN”…then it’s up to you, runs can be viewed in order from shortest to longest, most popular, newest to oldest, etc. After your run them, vote for your favorites or create your own and share with our community.

Active.com is another useful website to keep up with events in the area such as 5K runs and open sports leagues. The website is also a good resource for articles about health and fitness, workout plans including some with videos and discussion boards. The “Active Experts” dole out advice in their specialty…such as cycling, gear, travel and triathlons. One cool feature to try (if you are 18+ years old and meet the fitness guidelines) is the Adult Fitness Test. This test measures aerobic fitness, muscular strength & endurance, flexibility and body composition. The website provides all the guidelines and instructions for the tests and you can even submit your results to have evaluated.
