GraceWorks spreading word about Thanksgiving Food Basket program

Volunteers from GraceWorks will be at the Walmart store in Cool Springs Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 7-8, to provide information about the Williamson County ministry’s Thanksgiving Food Basket program.

As part of its goal to feed less-fortunate families throughout Williamson County, GraceWorks has created the program to match donors with families in need with foods such as ham, turkey, potatoes, milk and eggs, bread, dessert and other items to make a full Thanksgiving Day meal. The goal for this year is to provide Thanksgiving baskets to 250 families.

Interested persons can help by purchasing food and delivering baskets to families, or by donating money to the program. The volunteers this weekend can answer questions and provide details on how to get involved. The Walmart store is located at 3600 Mallory Lane.
