There is no place like Gentry’s Farm to find your own pumpkin, mini pumpkins to decorate, or pie pumpkins to prepare some fall treats. Depending on their size, pre-picked pumpkins can be purchased for $1 to $12, or you can pick your own.

Natchez Trace Parkway

Arrington Vineyards

This fall, Arrington Vineyards offers drinks with a view, making it the perfect place to eat and drink. Featuring picnic tables and a wine tasting lodge, Arrington overlooks rolling vineyards that make a perfect place to enjoy picnics whilst drinking wine. Arrington Vineyards does not offer a formal dining room, but you can grab a hot apple donut or a piece of pumpkin pie ahead of time. Be sure to register in advance for wine tastings since there may be long lines on sunny autumn days. 

Franklin on Foot Ghost Tour

Being a town surrounded by so much history, it’s no wonder things can get spooky from time to time. Join Franklin on Foot for a ghost tour to hear some great stories and maybe even see a couple of apparitions. In 2003, Margie Andersen, the owner of the company and an avid history buff, opened the doors of her shop. While they offer several historical tour options, October is the perfect time for a little something paranormal. 

Try the Haunted Franklin evening tour, which covers six blocks. Guests can expect four to five stops at several prominent Franklin structures paired with 90+ minutes of the best storytelling you’ve heard in a long while. Reservations must be made in advance.
