Bluegrass Along the Harpeth 2026
Community: Franklin
Bluegrass Along the Harpeth in Franklin offers a weekend of great music, dancing, food, shopping, and fun!
Always held the 4th weekend in July, Bluegrass Along the Harpeth was started in 1991 and has had several homes in Franklin over the years. Most recently it has made its home on the town square. The historic backdrop is the perfect place for our weekend of music in honor of Franklin’s own Grand Ole Opry stars Sam and Kirk McGee. This festival is put on and operated by old time musicians and dancers. It’s their love for the music and its preservation that make this festival special and a not-to-be-missed event every year.
Kick off the weekend Friday night, July 24th, 2026, with some of the best bluegrass bands around. Bring your chairs, settle in, and enjoy a relaxing summer evening of live music from 7–10 PM.
The fun continues Saturday morning, July 25th, 2026, starting at 9 AM, when talented musicians take the stage to compete in individual instrument and band contests. Enjoy incredible music and dancing throughout the day and into the evening until 10 PM.
Come hungry and ready to shop! Food and craft vendors will be on hand with delicious treats and unique, one-of-a-kind finds.
So what are you waiting for?! Bring your chairs, bring your friends, and come enjoy an unforgettable weekend of bluegrass music and one of Franklin, Tennessee’s favorite summer traditions.
