Southern Whiskey Society – 2020 Winter Edition

Join MADE SOUTH in Franklin, Tennessee for an evening of delicious food and whiskey at the Winter Edition of Southern Whiskey Society!
This year’s event will benefit One Generation Away, a non-profit that distributes healthy foods to families throughout Middle Tennessee that currently do not have access to food sources due to economic and physical barriers.
Enjoy food tastings from 10 award-winning Southern chefs along with samples from 30 of the South’s leading distillers.
Three different ticket levels are available for this event.
VIP TICKET HOLDERS WILL RECEIVE:
- VIP wristbands mailed in advance for line-free access
- Early access beginning at 5:30pm
- Access to upstairs VIP lounge with private bar featuring specialty cocktails from Eli Mason, comfortable lounge furniture, chef creations delivered to you by kind servers, and limited pours from select distillers
- Custom SWS tasting glass handmade by Terrane Glass
- Separate private auction for SWS Single Barrel Selections (both current and past releases + other special bottles – 100% of these proceeds go to One Generation Away)

GENERAL ADMISSION TICKET HOLDERS WILL RECEIVE:

- Access to all whiskey and food tastings on the main floor including some more limited pours during the first hour

For the 2020 Winter Edition, we have selected three single barrel whiskeys that are available to ticket purchasers at retail pricing. Each selection may be added to your ticket after adding a ticket to your cart. For each selection, we have included the retail cost of the bottle, plus 9.75% Tennessee state sales tax, plus a $10 surcharge/donation that will go straight to our non-profit partner One Generation Away.
Your emailed ticket receipt will be your bottle claim ticket, and you may pick up your bottle(s) at one of our bottle shop partners (Red Dog Wine & Spirits or The Bottle Shop at McEwen) beginning on Friday, February 28 during normal business hours. No bottle claim ticket lines to stand in this year! You will simply need to present your ticket at the corresponding bottle shop, show them your identification to verify that you are 21+, and you will receive your bottle.

FOR THE 2020 WINTER EDITION, WE HAVE SELECTED THREE SOUTHERN WHISKEY SOCIETY SINGLE BARRELS TO SHARE WITH YOU.
Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel
Jack Daniel’s is the gold standard when it comes to Tennessee whiskey brands. This marks the first single barrel of Tennessee whiskey that we’ve featured at Southern Whiskey Society, and we’re wondering what took us so dang long. This single barrel will feature the classic Jack Daniel’s mashbill of 80% corn, 12% barley, and 8% rye, and will be bottled at 94 proof with an age of 5-7 years. It will be personally selected by Jack’s Master Distiller Jeff Arnett, Southern Whiskey Society Founder Christopher Thomas, and friends. Price per bottle will be $76, which includes bottle cost + 9.75% Tennessee state sales tax + a $10 donation to One Generation Away.
New Riff Single Barrel
New Riff is a young distillery setting the whiskey world on fire. We’re proud to feature one of their delicious Single Barrels at this event. The mashbill will be 65% corn, 30% rye, and 5% malted barley, and it will be bottled at cask strength at an age of at least 4 years. It will not be chill filtered. This single barrel will be personally selected by Southern Whiskey Society Founder Christopher Thomas and friends. Price per bottle will be $65, which includes bottle cost + 9.75% Tennessee state sales tax + a $10 donation to One Generation Away.
Wilderness Trail Single Barrel
Ask anyone who is paying attention to the whiskey world about the leading craft distillers, and chances are high that Wilderness Trail is going to be smack dab in the middle of that conversation. This single barrel will feature a mashbill of 64% corn, 24% rye, and 12% malted barley, and it will be bottled at cask strength at an age of at least 4 years. It will not be chill filtered. This single barrel will be personally selected by Southern Whiskey Society Founder Christopher Thomas and friends. Price per bottle will be $80, which includes bottle cost + 9.75% Tennessee state sales tax + a $10 donation to One Generation Away.
