Masskrugstemmen – Beer Stein Holding Contest
A Beer Stein Holding Contest, or Masskrugstemmen, is a traditional Bavarian strength and endurance contest, not a drinking one. Competitors hold a full one-liter beer stein (weighs 5 pounds) out in front of them at shoulder level for as long as possible. They must keep their extended arm parallel to the ground and not spill beer. Hold a full one-liter beer stein out in front of your body— the person who holds the Stein the longest and does not spill wins.

Festive German Attire
Dressing up for the event is highly encouraged. If you have Lederhosen, Dirndl, or Tyrolia / Bavarian hats, ware them; Cowboy Boots and Western hats are Southern Styles; Let’s try Bavarian Trachten.

About Porsche Club of America Musik-Stadt Region
The Musik Stadt Region (MSK) of the Porsche Club of America (PCA) currently has over 1000 members within the Middle Tennessee area. Musik Stadt Region was organized due to a chance meeting between Chuck Eldred and John Hudson at a gas station in Brentwood, TN, in 1981. Both Porsche owners agreed that Nashville should have its own PCA region and decided to work together to make it happen. Chuck was a DJ on FM 106 and had the means to publicize an organizational effort on his show. John’s role was to handle all the administrative details to get a charter from PCA.
