Deer Run Camps & Retreats
There’s adventure waiting for your kids at Deer Run summer camps! Located ten miles south of downtown Franklin on 100 wooded acres, Deer Run offers exceptional day, adventure, and overnight camp experiences for grades K through 12.
All campers enjoy lake activities, climbing tower, archery, crazy games, small group Bible study and more. Each week is geared toward creating positive lifetime memories in an exciting, well-planned Christ-centered environment with mature, well-trained counselors. Campers and camper families speak highly of their Deer Run experience and the relationships built with staff, other campers, and camper families.
Each camper receives a themed camp t-shirt and a DVD of their camp week which is an added plus for campers to remember their camp week throughout the year. Deer Run Day Camps have been voted the #1 Day Camp by Parent magazine families two years straight.
Overnight Camps: One-week, six-night sessions are age-graded: preteen camps (completed grades 3–5), middle school camps (completed grades 6–8), and high school camps (completed grades 9–12). Preteen sessions are June 8-14, July 13-19, and July 20-26. Middle and high school sessions are June 15-21 and June 22-28. For middle school campers who want a longer experience and additional activities, a two-week, 13-night session, is available June 15-28.
Campers are divided into small groups by age and participate in horseback riding, climbing tower, paintball, lake activities (100 foot water slide, aqua park, swimming, canoes, kayaks, zip line), low or high ropes, night hikes, wiffle ball, BB guns, archery, and age-graded small group Bible study. All groups get together for crazy games, a nightly challenging speaker, worship, and skits. All activities are focused on developing confidence, character, and integrity in your child.
Deer Run provides healthy, delicious meals —made from fresh ingredients — and are always a rave with campers and parents. A full salad bar and fresh fruit are also available each day.

Campers are divided into small groups for lake activities (100 foot water slide, aqua park, swimming, canoes, kayak, zip line), skits, hiking, kickball, crazy games, wiffle ball, BB guns, archery, crafts, climbing tower, wild water games, creek wading, fun songs, and age-graded Bible study. Adventure day campers also have 3-D archery, outdoor education, survival skills, leap of faith, paintball, and tree climbing with ropes and harnesses in addition to the activities listed above.
Bus transportation from six area locations is an added convenience for parents. Locations include south Nashville (Brentwood Baptist and Franklin Road Academy), Franklin, Spring Hill, and Murfreesboro. See Deer Run’s camp website for exact locations and schedule. Call about the possibility of adding a bus location in your area.
Sunday Open Houses: Camper families are invited to open houses from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. to meet the camp directors and some of the 2014 summer staff (see website for dates). Reservations are not necessary for this guided walking tour of the camp facilities. The relationship of the summer staff and the camper is vital to a successful camper experience, so this is a great way to connect with summer staff by meeting some of them before camp starts. Deer Run carefully selects college students — after an intensive application, interview process, and background check — who are mature and are great role models for campers of all ages.
Registration: Sibling and multi-session discounts are available. There are no registration deadlines, but spaces fill up quickly so register soon to get your preferred camp dates. Register online at Camps.DeerRunRetreat.org or call 615-794-2918 if you have questions about the Deer Run camp programs for your camper’s age group.
