Only some 40 seats remain for the Franklin and Fairview Boys & Girls Club’s 2012 annual Steak and Burger dinner at which Vanderbilt head football coach James Franklin will be the keynote speaker.

WSMV-TV sports director Rudy Kalis will emcee this year’s event at 6 p.m. on May 3 at theCool Springs Conference Center in Franklin, said Denise Carothers, the Clubs Area Vice President.  Kalis will air his 6:50 p.m. sportscast live from the dinner.

“We’re extremely pleased to have Coach Franklin and Mr. Kalis join us in our 23rd annual celebration of the young people of Williamson County,” she said.

Also participating will be Tiara Steele, Franklin Club Youth of the Year, and Brandon Flynn, Fairview Youth of the Year.

“Our Club currently helps more than 700 Williamson County students ages 5-18 to reach their full potential of character and leadership development; education and career development; health and life skills; sports, fitness and recreation abilities, and the arts.  The Franklin facility is located at 129 W. Fowlkes St., and the Fairview unit is housed in the Berean Free Will Baptist Church.”

Carothers said individual tickets are $125 and buy a steak dinner for the donor and a burger for a Club member.  Table sponsorships are $1,000 per table and include tickets for 10 guests, as well as publicity in the program book and in news releases about the dinner.
