Alright all you runner enthusiasts, the Country Music Marathon is a little more than 10 weeks away.  For those first time half marathoners that have waited until the last minute, there is still hope for you!  Check out Runner’s World for the latest and greatest training program to whip yourself into gear.

This year marks the 10th annual race through the streets of Nashville.  The cost to enter the race is $105 for the marathon (Now-April 19 and $130 day of) and $100 for the ½ marathon.  Marathon runners must be able to complete the marathon in 7 hours or less.  ½ Marathon runners must complete the race in 4 hours or less.

In order to run the marathon, you must be at least 18.  In order to run the ½ marathon, you must be at least 12 years old. Coaches, baby-joggers, bikes, dogs, in-line skates, skateboards or dogs will not be allowed on the course.

There is also a Wheelchair division with a Racing Wheelchair Division (Marathon Only)
and a People’s Standard Wheelchairs (Full and Half Marathon).  Due to safety issues on the course, and in accordance with International Paralympic Committee rules, NO handcycles (handbikes, handcrank devices or other mechanically gear driven devices) will be permitted in the race.  All wheelchairs must yield to runners during the race.
