Nashville and surrounding areas like Franklin and Williamson County will soon have a new way to experience indoor golf. CityGolf USA plans to open America’s first full 18-hole indoor golf experience this year. Nashville, Tennessee will serve as the company’s flagship location and U.S. debut. World-renowned golf architect Tom Fazio will help shape the experience through Fazio Design Technologies. The venue will combine advanced golf technology with real playing surfaces. Unlike traditional simulator venues, golfers will walk between all 18 holes. Players will also finish each hole on real greens. GOLFZON simulator technology will power longer shots throughout the course. Players will then move onto physical greens for the short game. This exciting new format brings more of the outdoor golf experience indoors.
CityGolf Nashville will span approximately 174,000 square feet. The facility will sit in Nashville’s Nations neighborhood, about 11 minutes from downtown. CityGolf USA chose Nashville as its launch point for their U.S. expansion. The company plans to bring the concept to additional American markets. Nashville’s population growth helped make the city an attractive choice. Its tourism industry, entertainment scene, and golf community also played roles. Those factors give CityGolf access to a strong potential audience of golfers. The course will welcome beginners, experienced golfers, and casual players alike. Guests don’t need professional-level skills to enjoy a round. The venue will also accommodate business groups and private events. That broad appeal could set CityGolf apart from other golf facilities nearby.
How the CityGolf Nashville Course Will Work
Tom Fazio is bringing his acclaimed course-design expertise to indoor golf with CityGolf USA. Fazio has nine original designs ranked among Golf Digest’s Top 100 U.S. courses. Through his partnership with CityGolf, Fazio Design Technologies will create custom courses for the company’s indoor venues. The flagship Nashville location will be roughly the size of three football fields.
CityGolf Nashville will combine GOLFZON simulator technology with physical greens and short-game areas. Players will begin each hole with longer shots inside GOLFZON simulators. The technology displays realistic courses while tracking every shot. Once players reach the short-game portion, the simulator screen will retract.
Golfers will then step onto a physical green complex for pitching, chipping, bunker shots, and putting. After completing each hole, they will walk to the next one. The format creates a complete 18-hole round without leaving the building. CityGolf expects each round to take roughly two to two-and-a-half hours. The course will include 18 GOLFZON simulators and 18 physical greens.
The venue will also feature a simulator-based driving range for practice and casual play. CityGolf aims to remove weather barriers from traditional golf. Rain, frost, and fading daylight will not interrupt indoor rounds. Players can enjoy consistent golfing conditions throughout the year. The experience also preserves familiar elements of outdoor golf. Players still tee off, walk between holes, and putt out each round. The biggest difference is that the entire course takes place indoors.
Dining, Events and Hospitality Will Add More Than Golf
CityGolf Nashville will offer much more than an 18-hole indoor golf course. Plans include a full-service restaurant and bar inside the venue. Players can also stop for refreshments during their rounds. Food and drinks will become part of the overall CityGolf experience. A retail pro shop will offer another amenity for visiting golfers. Private event spaces will accommodate celebrations, meetings, and special occasions. Driving-range bays will support corporate and social gatherings.
CityGolf also plans customized experiences for corporate groups. These options could include team-building activities and client entertainment. Private celebrations will have dedicated space within the facility. The concept aims to attract golfers and guests seeking social experiences. Visitors can enjoy golf, food, drinks, and entertainment under one roof. That combination gives CityGolf broader appeal than traditional golf facilities.
The venue will also accommodate players with different skill levels. Beginners can learn the game in a relaxed indoor setting. Experienced golfers can work on their game and compete with friends. Casual players can enjoy a round without planning an outdoor golf trip. Businesses can use the venue for meetings and client entertainment. CityGolf wants to build a destination around golf, hospitality, and community. Nashville’s entertainment culture could further strengthen that approach.
GOLFZON Technology Powers the Indoor Golf Experience
GOLFZON will provide the simulator technology powering CityGolf Nashville. The global golf technology company has powered more than 100 million rounds. GOLFZON introduced the CityGolf concept in China during 2024. There are currently two CityGolf locations in China. They combined screen-based golf with physical greens and bunkers. GOLFZON later showcased the concept at the PGA Show in Orlando.
They will now bring that model to the United States. CityGolf USA will pair GOLFZON technology with physical golf surfaces. The result offers more than a traditional indoor golf simulator experience. Players will use digital technology for full shots and physical surfaces afterward. Real greens will handle pitching, chipping, bunker play, and putting. Golfers will also walk between holes during their rounds. That movement helps recreate the rhythm of playing an outdoor course.
CityGolf USA describes the concept as America’s first full 18-hole indoor experience. They aim to make authentic golf available throughout the year. They also want to welcome golfers across every skill level. First-time players can experience golf without committing to a traditional course. Experienced golfers can enjoy full rounds without worrying about weather. The concept brings golf, technology, hospitality, and community together under one roof.
What Happens Next for CityGolf Nashville
CityGolf USA has not announced an exact public opening date. The company currently expects CityGolf Nashville to open in Winter 2026. A soft opening is also planned for later this year. CityGolf plans to announce founding membership details as plans progress. The company will also share additional information about the facility’s design. Membership options will include founding and standard memberships. Prospective members can also join the company’s waitlist for updates. Nashville will serve as CityGolf USA’s first planned American location. The company considers the Nashville venue its flagship facility. Future locations could follow as CityGolf expands across the United States.
For Nashville golfers, the venue will offer a new indoor option. Players will have another place to practice, compete, socialize, and entertain. The biggest draw remains the ability to play all 18 holes indoors. Golfers can walk the course without worrying about rain or fading daylight. They can also finish every hole on a real green. For now, golfers must wait for the official opening announcement and dates. Until then, Nashville’s newest golf attraction remains under development. One thing seems certain: soon, weather will not decide when golfers in Middle Tennessee can play.
