Camp Will Reunion Planned

The Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department is pleased to announce an October reunion for campers and staff of Camp Will. For over 30 years, Camp Will has been a part of the Williamson County community, serving children and adults with disabilities through a summer recreational program. Throughout those years, hundreds of campers and staff have been a part of the Camp Will tradition and continue to benefit from the camp to this day.
In recognition and celebration of the history of Camp Will, the Therapeutics Division of Williamson County Parks and Recreation is collecting stories and information on Camp Will, particularly prior to 1997. If you have a story, information or photographs to share, please contact Vicky Pitner at 790-5719, ext. 21 or by e-mail at VickyP@williamson-tn.org. This information is needed by September 15th.
The Camp Will Reunion event is planned for Thursday, October 2nd, 6pm – 8:30pm at the Franklin Recreation Complex. All campers and their families and all staff of Camp Will past and present are invited for an evening of reminiscing and socializing, a slide show and a barbecue dinner. The event is free, and you must register between September 12th and 28th by calling 790-5719, ext. 10. This is a PALS program (People at Leisure with Support) and a caregiver is required to register and stay with those needing support. If you have any questions, please call 790-5719, ext. 33.
