The Experience Lab by charity: water in Franklin, Tennessee is an immersive exhibit created by charity: water, a nonprofit organization on a mission to end the global water crisis by bringing clean and safe drinking water to people in developing countries. Since 2006, charity: water has funded over 137,000 water projects across 29 countries, serving more than 17.5 million people.
Located in The Factory at Franklin, the Experience Lab invites guests to explore the impact of the water crisis through guided storytelling, interactive stations, and virtual reality. Visitors can examine dirty water samples under a microscope, join a 4-D water walk with a girl in Uganda, and witness a transformative moment when a community gains access to clean water.
The guided, 60-minute experience is free with a reservation and designed for all ages. The exhibit emphasizes how water affects health, education, and opportunity, and how individuals can play a role in solving the crisis in our lifetime.
