If you love flowers, join this painting class and learn a great way to keep them forever! Practice the art of observing the minute detail of live flowers, unique details and the art of transferring the detail to paper using drawing and watercolor techniques. Course will cover the history of botanical art and 19th century prints. No experience necessary. Meets Tuesdays, 1pm-3pm, October 7th through November 11th OR on Tuesday nights, 6:30pm-8:30pm. ALTERED ART-Flying . . . A Matter of Good Wing Feathers
Altered art is a fast growing craft trend where objects are used as a creative starting point for a unique work of art. Inspired by the cut-out collage work of Chagall and Matisse, students will work with paint, paper, images and found objects to create a shadow box in tribute to the art of flying. For beginning and experienced crafters and artists, age 13 and older. Class will be offered Tuesday, October 21st from 10am-noon OR October 29th, from 1pm-3pm. PORCELAIN CHINA PAINTING FOR BEGINNERS
Learn the art of porcelain painting in this beginner’s class for teens and adults. Make a sunflower trivet for an easy first project. All supplies and kiln firings for project are included in the supply cost. Porcelain painting will meet on Thursdays, October 23rd through November 13th from 1pm-4pm.
