Animal Center & Snooty Giggles Team Up for Free House Training Class

One-year old Alpha is a staff and volunteer favorite at Williamson County Animal Center. This friendly and loving 52-pound boy prefers a calmer environment and likes to go on walks and playing, especially fetch. He quickly learned sit, stay, down, come and place. Alpha gets along well with some – but, not all – dogs so a meet and greet with resident dogs is required before adoption; he is not good with cats. Come by to meet with Alpha and his furry friends at WCAC.

Project Reward, a community outreach program of Snooty Giggles Dog Rescue (SGDR), and the Williamson County Animal Center (WCAC) have teamed up to offer a series of informational dog-training classes that are free for anyone to attend. The first class will take place at the animal center on Wednesday, March 6 beginning at 6:00 PM during which Ashley Reum, dog trainer and Project Reward Director, will talk about techniques to successfully house train dogs.

“House training can be the difference between someone keeping their dog or surrendering it to their local rescue or shelter,” said Reum. “House breaking isn’t just for puppies and it’s never too late to house train a dog of any age as long as they are medically capable.” According to Reum, her class will cover topics ranging from pee pads to crate training and everything in between and she will answer questions about getting a new – or old – furry family member to use appropriate potty habits so that they can be a fully integrated member of one’s household.

Wrenly Brier is an eight-year old mixed breed with Snooty Giggles Dog Rescue that weighs 62 pounds and is about as perfect as they come. This girl is such an easy dog, she is house trained, crate trained, knows basic commands and is very obedient. She loves to play, go on car rides and walks and likes other dogs. Wren deserves a family that will love her like she knows how to love and will make some lucky person a wonderful companion! Go to www.snootygiggles.com to fill out an application for Wrenly Brier or any of the adorable adoptables with SGDR today.
