Abrakadoodle and Buzz, Ribbit, Roar

The Williamson County Parks and Recreation’s smash-hit program, “Abrakadoodle” adds more fun to its roster of creative classes with “Buzz, Ribbit, Roar” for Twoosy Doodlers and Mini Doodlers at the Franklin Recreation Complex. Focused on things found in nature such as animals, amphibians and insects, the kids explore the art of Alexander Calder and Eric Carle as they create their masterpieces. Come play games, read books and learn more about art!

Twoosy Doodlers (ages 20-36 months with parent or guardian)
9:30am to 10:15am or 10:30am to 11:15am

Mini Doodlers (ages 3 to Kindergarten)
11:30am to 12:15am

Friday, June 8- Fishy Doodles!
Learn about Alexander Caleder, an artist that likes to make mobiles.  We’ll create a fish using familiar shapes.

Friday, June 22- Bee Hive Doodle!

We’ll print a bee hive using bubble wrap and make bees from model magic.

Friday, June 29- Eric Carle Doodle!

Let’s use shapes to create a caterpiller collage based on the famour caterpillar book.

Friday, July 13- Koosh Chicks!
Students will use Koosh balls to paint a baby chick.

Friday, July 20- Froggy Doodle!

Let’s make a water scene using watercolors, then sponges to print frogs in the water.
