PumpkinFest transforms historic downtown Franklin into one of the area’s largest fall celebrations, bringing families, visitors, artists, performers, and local businesses together for seasonal activities. Main Street and the Public Square fill with costumes, live entertainment, artisan booths, food vendors, and fall displays as thousands of people gather to celebrate the days leading up to Halloween.
More than 140 arts and crafts vendors typically offer handmade goods, artwork, jewelry, clothing, home décor, specialty foods, and seasonal items. Food and beverage booths serve festival favorites throughout the event area, while multiple stages feature live music, local performers, and other entertainment.
Family activities are a major part of PumpkinFest. The KidZone generally includes games, crafts, and interactive experiences for children, while costume contests give people and pets an opportunity to show off creative Halloween looks. Additional attractions, displays, and themed activities vary from year to year.
Downtown shops, restaurants, and businesses remain open throughout the festival, with many offering seasonal merchandise, special menus, promotions, and their own Halloween decorations. Together, the festival activities and downtown setting create a lively fall tradition that stretches across several blocks of Franklin’s historic district.
