Main Street Festival welcomes spring with arts and crafts, food, live entertainment, shopping, and activities for all ages. One of Franklin’s largest annual events, the festival attracts more than 120,000 visitors and has been recognized by the Southeast Tourism Society as one of the region’s top events.
More than 150 artisans and craftspeople showcase handmade goods, artwork, home décor, jewelry, clothing, specialty foods, and gift items from local, regional, national, and international makers. More than 30 food and beverage vendors also serve a mix of traditional festival fare and local flavors.
Entertainment takes place across multiple stages, including full-band performances, acoustic music, cultural programs, and mobile stage presentations. Family activity areas typically include children’s games, arts and crafts, interactive movement and creative experiences, and a designated pet area with amenities and activities for dogs and their owners.
Downtown shops, restaurants, and businesses remain open throughout the festival, with many offering specials, featured items, promotions, and additional entertainment. The event gives visitors an opportunity to explore Franklin’s shopping and dining district while supporting local merchants, artists, makers, and performers.
