NASHVILLE, TENN. – September 24, 2019 – On October 16, 2019, beginning at 6 p.m. at the Omni Nashville Hotel, Gilda’s Club Middle Tennessee will celebrate another year of providing free cancer support in Nashville, Franklin, and surrounding areas with its biggest fundraiser of the year: The Red Door Bash.

With more than 400 business, civic and community leaders expected to attend, the Red Door Bash will include a cocktail hour with silent auction; a three-course plated dinner; Warner recording artist Charlie Worsham, serving as Master of Ceremonies; and, most importantly, the celebration of three community leaders for their giving hearts and extraordinary community impact. Honorees will include:

  • Mark Carver, attorney at Sherrard Roe Voigt & Harbison, recipient of the Red Door Champion Award;
  • Danielle Gilbert, certified health and nutrition coach with Genthree Wellness, recipient of the Dr. Gail Addlestone Community Building Award; and
  • John W. Havron (posthumously), former Gilda’s Club volunteer and member, recipient of the Nancy Saturn Award of Inspiration.

“Having joined Gilda’s Club Middle Tennessee just a few short weeks ago, I’ve been both thrilled and impressed by the degree of thought being put into every detail of this event,” said Harriet Schiftan, MSW, MAJCS, president and CEO of the non-profit. “We are fortunate to have volunteers, sponsors and staff who are so deeply committed to celebrating our honorees in the best possible way, all the while ensuring all of our Bash guests – both long-time supporters and new friends – have a memorable evening.”

According to Red Door Bash Event Chairwoman Victoria Marger, it’s an honor to be a part of the team planning and executing Gilda’s Club Middle Tennessee’s biggest annual fundraiser.

“In addition to the fantastic venue, incredible silent auction, and creative, hardworking committee that’s come together to make this event happen, we are all committed to enhancing the awareness of Gilda’s Club and its free cancer support program for men, women, children and families,” she said. “It’s certain to be an inspiring and enjoyable evening.”
