WWI “At Home and Abroad” 100th Year Commemorative & Open House

Old Glory Chapter of the DAR is joining with the Williamson County Archives with an Open House commemorating the 100th anniversary of WWI-“The Great War”. This free event will have fun for the entire family-“Doughboy” re enactors, songs of the war, a children’s area for making a poppy, learning about flag signals, sand boxes to make bunkers and tunnels with toy soldiers, old classic cars, costumes of the era, a period living room with a live family, refreshments, posters from the era and much more. Come for a fun, FREE time and experience this “step back in time” with your family.
