TIMBERLAND PARK SCHEDULES A COMMUNITY WORK DAY FOR SUNDAY, MARCH 22

Williamson County Parks and Recreation (WCPR) invites the public to join us for a community work day at Timberland Park on Sunday, March 22 from1:00 to 2:30 p.m. The live Christmas trees that were dropped off at WCPR facilities for recycling have now been chipped up and ready for the trails. Volunteers are needed to help spread the mulch on a section of the Still Hollow trail to help prevent erosion, and wear and tear. If you’re youth or adult group is looking for a great outdoor community project, this is it! Participants should wear close toed shoes, bring work gloves and a shovel or rake with their name written on it. Some tools will be available to use and distributed on a first come first served basis. Bottled water will also be provided. A volunteer form will need to be signed before beginning any work. Not recommended children under 7 years of age.

Timberland Park is located at mile marker 437.2 on the historic Natchez Trace Parkway, just south of the Highway 96 entrance and iconic bridge. For questions or additional information, call (615) 232-4154.
