WCPR Offers Numerous Adult Winter Sports Options

 

Williamson County Parks and Recreation provides exciting sports and athletic programs for adults throughout the community. Our Athletics Division focuses on sportsmanship, team play, and fun activities for all participants. Registration is available for upcoming Winter Volleyball, Basketball, Soccer leagues and Indoor Tennis Clinics.

 

WINTER VOLLEYBALL LEAGUES

Registration is open for Women’s and Co-ed Winter Indoor Volleyball leagues.

Held at the Franklin Recreation Complex, 1120 Hillsboro Rd., the Winter Women’s Indoor league and the Winter Women’s Advanced Division league will play on Sunday afternoons beginning January 5, 2020. The Co-ed Indoor league will play on Thursday evenings starting January 9. The Winter Trinity School Co-ed Indoor league will play at the Trinity Elementary School Gymnasium, 4410 Murfreesboro Rd., Franklin, on Sunday afternoons beginning January 5. The leagues will play a round robin format with a single elimination tournament at the completion of the season.

The registration fee is $200 per team. Registration is online (through January 1 or until full) at www.wcparksandrec.comOnly team captains should register.  Free agent registration is available for anyone new to the area and looking to join a team. MEN’S BASKETBALL LEAGUES

Registration is open for 2020 Adult Winter D1/D2 Basketball leagues at Academy Park Gym, 120 Everbright Ave. in Franklin, TN .  The D1 and D2 leagues will play on Sundays beginning January 12, 2020.

The league fee is $485 per team. A maximum of 10 teams per division (D1 & D2) will be accepted. D1 is a competitive division; D2 is more recreational based. Registration (ends January 3) is available online at www.wcparksandrec.com. (Registration code #15978). Teams will play eight regular season games and conclude with a single elimination tournament.

WINTER COED SOCCER LEAGUE

Registration is open for the Winter Co-ed Indoor Soccer League at the Indoor Arena at Crockett Park, 1485 Volunteer Parkway, Brentwood.

League play will be on Wednesday nights, January 8 – March 4. The team registration fee is $465.  A maximum of 10 teams will be accepted. Registration will continue through December 27 or until the league is full. Register at www.wcparksandrec.com.  Free agent registration is available for anyone looking to join a team. WINTER TENNIS CLINICS

Registration for WCPR’s Winter Indoor Tennis Clinics (Session 2) is now open. The clinics will begin the week of January 6 and continue through February 15 at the Indoor Sports Complex in Brentwood, 920 Heritage Way.  Tennis clinics (beginner through advanced skill levels) are offered Monday(s) through Saturday(s).  Prices vary depending on the duration of clinic.
