RENOVATED FAIRVIEW RECREATION COMPLEX ENHANCES SCHEDULE AND PROGRAMS

Williamson County Parks and Recreation’s (WCPR) newly renovated Fairview Recreation Complex at 2714 Fairview Blvd. now has an expanded operating schedule along with additional programs and amenities for all ages. To better meet the needs of the community, the facility’s hours of operation have now expanded to the following schedule:  Monday-Friday, 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.; Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; and Sunday, 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The center’s state-of-the-art Wellness Center features over 55 pieces of new cardio and weight training equipment. Group Fitness and Indoor Cycling Studios now offer over 30 classes each week including strength training, cardio athletic, mind and body (yoga, tai chi), and Silver Sneakers® programs. A Sitting Service for children (ages 6 weeks old to 9 years old) is available at no charge to parents utilizing the Recreation Center.

One of the facility’s favorite features is the new, expansive Senior Lounge for socialization, billiards, cards, games, puzzles, and more. On the first Monday of each month, a variety of Senior sports, activities and games are offered at the facility such as corn hole, wii sports, ladder golf, and volleyball. The opportunity for Seniors (55+) to have monthly outings for lunch and to visit area places of interest has also been added. Information and registration for upcoming day trips based out of the Fairview Center is available at www.wcparksandrec.com.

The Arts & Crafts Studio and Dance Studio have a full schedule of programs and activities of interest for all ages, as well as numerous multi-purpose rooms for additional enrichment programs.

WCPR offers a variety of affordable pass options for facility access. General admission daily rates are available, as well as monthly or annual Standard and Premium pass options for individuals and families.

Non-Williamson County residents can purchase a pass for an additional $10 per month or $100 annually.
