Tickets now on sale for August Tribute Concerts at the Williamson County Performing Arts Center

The Williamson County Performing Arts Center (WCPAC) at Academy Park and the Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department (WCPR) are excited to announce three additional concerts as part of their 2022 Summer Tribute Series.

This series features performers that celebrate and pay homage to the music of a particular artist or group. Three events have been added for August: Motor City Magic: Motown Tribute on Saturday August 6, 2022 at 7 p.m.; Cash and Cline: Johnny Cash & Patsy Cline Tribute on Saturday August 13, 2022 at 7 p.m.; and Twilight Train: Neil Diamond Tribute on Saturday August 20, 2022 at 7 p.m.

Motor City Magic pays tribute to the record label that transformed American pop music: Motown. Three vocalists and a 7-piece band will take you back in time with some of Motown’s biggest hits, including songs by top artists Marvin Gaye, The Temptations, Stevie Wonder, The Supremes and many more. Tickets are $25 for adults and $22.50 for seniors (55+) and children 12 and under.

Kellye Cash and Family, backed by the West TN Strangers, will perform the familiar tunes of Johnny Cash and Patsy Cline. Walk the line with the classics and family stories of Kellye’s late Uncle, the Man in Black. Kellye’s father Roy Cash Jr., writer of “I Still Miss Someone,” will also perform several Cash Favorites. For 20 years, Kellye headlined in the theatrical production Always…Patsy Cline and will mesmerize you with her rich powerful voice. Her three children will also join in on the iconic Cash and Cline tunes. The tribute will end with an arrangement of “Will the Circle Be Unbroken” that you don’t want to miss. Tickets are $25 for adults and $22.50 for Seniors (55+) and children 12 and under.

The Twilight Train band honors the artistic creations and contributions of Neil Diamond with a high-energy set list of songs that keeps the music as close to the original releases as possible. Without trying to impersonate, the band strives to recreate the unique energy of a Neil Diamond show at every performance. Get on board the Train for a journey filled with familiar sounds on a trip to new memorable destinations. Tickets are $25 for adults and $22.50 for Seniors (55+) and children 12 and under.

Tickets for all three concerts are on sale now and can be purchased at wcpactn.com.
