SENIOR ACTIVITIES AND PROGRAMS OFFERED AT LOCAL RECREATION FACILITIES

The Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department (WCPR) hosts a variety of programs at recreation centers across Williamson County for seniors of all ages and activity levels including art, fitness, nature and sport programs.

In July, our Senior Open Play Pickle Ball program returns to the Academy Park Gymnasium, 120 Everbright Ave., in Franklin on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12 noon to 2:30 p.m.; and monthly Lunch Bunch outings will be organized through our Fairview and Franklin locations. Senior lounge hours also continue at these facilities; plus monthly bingo events and movie matinees; art sessions; yarn club; dulcimer dandies; Wii bowling and much, much more.

Advanced registration is required for the majority of activities. For more information on these programs and to register, visit our website at www.wcparksandrec.com and click on the “Seniors” tab or contact Carrie Cartwright Olson at Carrie.Cartwright@williamsoncounty-tn.gov or by calling (615) 786-0186, ext. 2519.
