NEW WILLIAMSON COUNTY COMMUNITY CHORUS DEBUTS

Free concert December 10

The Williamson County Parks and Recreation Department (WCPR) is pleased to announce the first public performance of the new Williamson County Community Chorus, on Sunday, December 10 at 3:00 p.m. at the Williamson County Enrichment Center, 110 Everbright Ave. in Franklin. The choir of 62 community members was selected during Fall 2017 auditions.

In August 2017, Dr. Linda Bolding was named as the new group’s director. With more than twenty years of experience conducting adult choirs, Bolding brings professional excellence and experience to the Williamson County Community Chorus. She received a bachelor’s of music degree from Eastern New Mexico University, a master’s degree in music education from the University of Texas, and a doctorate in choral conducting from Columbia Pacific University. Bolding is a past conductor of the Austin, Texas Civic Chorus and the Round Rock, Texas Community Choir. Her choirs have toured Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Scotland, Ireland and Canada. Bolding recently relocated to the Franklin area from Texas.
